Taco Soup

I got this recipe from a friend, and it has become a family staple.  Serve with cornbread or corn chips and cheese for garnish.  Use spicy taco seasoning for a spicier soup.

Brown meat and onions, add seasoning mixes and stir to coat.  Add all other ingredients, including liquid from cans.  Bring to boil, reduce heat to simmer and cook for at least 30 minutes until flavors are blended.  I vary the amount of water added to get the consistency of soup I want.

  • 1 container (8.5 tbsp ea.), Green Chilies, Chopped
  • 3 cup, Water
